Does Andrew Rosindell MP Approve Of The Growing Global Wealth Gap ?

Andrew Rosindell MP is a staunch supporter of Margaret Thatcher and has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London. It is reasonable then to suggest that Andrew Rosindell MP must be in favour of the disgusting wealth gap that exists in the UK and the world today. Despite Parliament having many debates on poverty and the planned universal credit plans we cannot find any contribution from Andrew Rosndell MP protesting against the wealth divide and proposing measures to remedy it.

If ever there was a story about the wealth gap that caught our eye it was the FARINATA story from Brazil - on first sight it reminded us of the 1973 cult-classic film Soylent Green and how corporations will stop at nothing to make more money from the fundamental needs of life.

However reading deeper this form of food pellet is from real food that would otherwise be wasted and it has the blessing of Pope Francis.

The Guardian reports:  "Rosana Perrotti, founder of Plataforma Sinergia (Synergy Platform), the Catholic organisation that developed farinata, said it came in the form of a flour or as pellets and showed off vials of powder made from foodstuffs such as pasta and manioc. The organisation’s website says it has received a blessing from Pope Francis."

What a contrast there is in the workings of the Catholic Church, they can marry millionaire tories in London and develop food pellets for the poor in Brazil at the same time !

Do you want your Romford MP to speak up about the disgusting wealth gap in our world today ? If so then please don't vote for Andrew Rosindell MP.  The last thing we need is extreme jingoism from the likes of Andrew Rosindell MP in the face of such disgusting inequality.

Is Andrew Rosindell MP Embarrasing His Constituents ?

"Actually that’s not the British way.."  says Rosindell

In the normal course of events an elected British government appoints a Foreign Secretary who works with the Diplomatic Service to definitively represent Britain to the world. Romford MP Andrew Rosindell doesn't seem satisfied with this normal arrangement and appears to want to represent Britain from Romford by-passing the definitive statements of the Foreign Office.

Rosindell on SKY NEWS telling the world what being British means
Those who are familiar with tories in Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster won't be surprised at this tendency to high self importance.  In the 1970s a number of Romford Conservative Party supporters are said by locals to have sought Rhodesian citizenship and worn Rhodesian police uniforms "for a laugh".

Speaking on SKY NEWS Andrew Rosindell MP once again told the world what being British means as if he was the personification of the British people.  The Brexit negotiations have stalled recently as the two sides failed to come to an agreement on issues including the divorce payment and citizens rights.

This latest outburst from the self-appointed figure head of Britishness, Andrew Rosindell MP, can be added to a growing list of inappropriate interventions that are embarrassing to many voters in Romford.  We don't want our home town to appear arrogant and extreme we are quite happy for the Foreign Secretary and the Diplomatic Service to represent the country in accordance with normal democratic authority.

Thomas Paine - An English Republican Of The Highest Rank

Thomas Paine portrait by Dabos 1792 (wikipedia)
Many English people are disappointed, even embarrassed, by their country's history which is dominated by the idiosyncracies of Kings and Queens and their "divine right" to rule. The divine right of kings, divine right, or God's mandate is a political and religious doctrine of royal and political legitimacy. It asserts that a monarch is subject to no earthly authority, deriving the right to rule directly from the will of God.

English Republicans should not be so embarrassed or disappointed with their political nationality because one of the greatesr republican writers of all time was an Englishmen, he is also one of the most heavily suppressed political thinkers of all time.  His contributions to the cause of republicanism are incomparable but they are targetted for suppression and ridicule by posh historians at Oxford and Cambridge.

Who was this great republican thinker ? His name is Thomas Paine and we would bet our boots that some our readers have never heard of him.

Thomas Paine was born in Thetford in the English county of Norfolk. His writings were heavily influential amongst the leaders of the American revolution, French revolution and English Radicalism.  As a deist Thomas Paine's views on the organisations of religion were later used against him to eradicate his incomparable contributions to republican history. Paine died in obscurity and he has been criticised and ridiculed by the British royalist establishment ever since. Some political observers would argue that Brexit in its most basic form is a continuation of the protection of the British monarchy that is simply the same centuries-old suppression of great Englishmen like Cromwell and Paine in another guise.

The editor of the Havering Witness has long been proud of the fact that his own family has links to Thetford, Norfolk through the name of Sadler.

Does Andrew Rosindell MP Care About Police Custody Deaths ?

Thomas Orchard died in police custody
Romford's Royalist MP Andrew Rosindell and his supporters often seem to automatically praise our uniformed services without any room for healthy democratic scrutiny.

They seldom, if ever, offer any criticism at all in the light of clear evidence of serious misconduct and even stay silent when their own party in government express concern.

One such issue of government and public concern is the number of deaths in police custody. An IPCC report (see below) highlights the disturbing fact that around HALF of police custody deaths are linked to mental health issues.

Despite widespread coverage of deaths in police custody we cannot find any reference in Hansard of Andrew Rosindell MP ever raising mental health issues except for a specific question about depression amongst uniformed service personnel.

Searching under "mental health" and "Rosindell" on Hansard returned only 1 item - According to the Hansard on-line database Andrew Rosindell MP never asked a single question about the many civilian deaths in police custody since he was elected in 2001 - is that what you would expect of an MP ?

When British citizens are dying in police cells without adequate explanation it is reasonable to expect any MP to have made their position on the issue clear.  If British citizens had died in foreign police cells I feel sure that Mr Rosindell would comment on it given his apparent desire to build a career in foreign and commonwealth affairs.

HANSARD - Rosindell appears to restrict his interest in mental health issues to service personnel

Nationalisation Is The Natural Foundation Of Civilisation

 John McDonnell MP
At the 2017 Labour Party conference shadow chancellor John McDonnell MP, the son of a soldier, clearly stated the party's intention to take key parts of our economy back into public ownership.

Thank you Mr McDonnell for your public service - the Queen can keep hers and her endless parties celebrating it.

We would like to welcome the Labour Party's return to public ownership policies, here's briefly why we think it is the right policy:

Civilisation is the dividing line between humans and the rest of nature, our species took the critical unique decision to organise and specialise in great detail  - powerfully different from all other species.

The ability to reason, develop tools and skills on demand, and to organise our efforts into specialist pieces that together comprise the whole of human endeavour are the foundations of civilisation and the enemy of the jungle.

Our civilisation should not be run by Tarzan Tories
We can only have meaningful specialist parts and roles if we have a genuine whole for them to be part of.  That whole, we say, is the state, and the foundation stones of that state are the nationalised industries that maintain the most basic parts of our civilisation - clean water, heat, shelter, healthy food, health care and school education.

The maintenance of our civilisation is not an opportunity for a small group of people to make huge profits out of social necessity but should be rightfully and patriotically owned by the public for the public good.

To allow the doubt and price manipulation of a select small group of private individuals into the fundamentals of our civilisation is a denial of our nationality and citizenship. Private capital undermining our civilisation should be a criminal offence and on occasion, like the Grenfell Tower fire, even our deeply corrupt system cannot avoid taking action.

As Jeremy Corbyn said our nation should be for the many and not the few.

Tribute To Tom Petty (and Albert Einstein)

Tom Petty Free Fallin' (billboard photo)
Tom Petty was one of those music names like Bob Dylan, Free and Fleetwood Mac.  His passing is another sad empty seat in the old music school of the 1960s / 70s that saw so much talent from Pink Floyd to Ian Dury to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Today's music is much more business-like, and  many will agree that its music is of much less quality and talent.

Albert Einstein - Gravity Waves

Just before Tom Petty died his album Free Fallin' found some gravitational resonance in the world of science and the Nobel Prize.

The gravity waves predicted by Albert Einstein over a hundred years ago were observed by three scientists who were subsequently awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics.  Rainer Weiss, Kip Thorne and Barry Barish shared the Physics prize for their work at the  Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO).
