The Tory "Them and Us" Justice System

Lavinia Woodward - Too important for law and order ? (Daily Mail)
Lavinia Woodward, an Oxford University student studying medicine at the prestigious Christ Church college, was found guilty of stabbing her boyfriend with a bread knife BUT the judge said "to prevent this extraordinary able young lady from not following her long-held desire to enter the profession she wishes to, would be a sentence which would be too severe ... during her hearing at Oxford Crown Court last week, Judge Ian Pringle told Woodward that her offence would normally mean a prison term" (Daily Mail).

Woodward avoided the "normal" custodial sentence for such a crime despite reports by several newspapers that she had previous cocaine use, other previous assaults  and to have posed naked on a calendat and facebook.  Christ Church college, Oxford has also revealed that she was given a final warning regarding her poor behaviour in September last year.

Despite her witnessed crime and previous record Lavinia Woodward avoided a prison sentence. The judge, Ian Pringle QC said that "..normally it would attract a custodial sentence" but he didn't go on to explain the real social class considerations that we think lie behind his decision.  We think a working class woman guilty of the same offences would have received a custodial sentence and would have had the other offences added - there would NOT have been ANY consideration of the effect on jobs or careers !

Vote against the Conservative Party and their ONE LAW FOR THEM and ONE LAW FOR US justice system in the General Election on 8th June 2017.
